“Lucy worked for us on two occasions as a freelancer. Well, she turned out to be much more than we could ever have hoped for: part of the team from day one, totally professional and efficient, very personable and proactive, without ever being aggressive. All the ingredients one would hope for in a top public relations person. In fact, she was so good that we would have liked to hire her full time.”Veronica Weller, Head of Global Corporate Communications, TASCHEN

A Monthly Cultural Q&A
HOUSE OF ILLUSTRATION is a charity that champions illustration. It is opening the doors of a flagship centre in the King’s Cross regeneration area; the world’s first gallery dedicated exclusively to exhibiting, celebrating and learning about British and international illustration and illustrators. This Q&A is with Project Director Flora Craig.
From advertising to animation, picture books to political cartoons, and medical drawing to travel and fashion design, House of Illustration has the support of some of the UK’s leading illustrators, from Quentin Blake, who has pledged his archive and collection, to Jan Pienkowski, Peter Blake, Lauren Child and Posy Simmonds. It aims to attract 120,000 visitors a year to its new home.
Its new series of Famous Five books with covers by well known illustrators is available from bookshops from 3 May 2012.
